A former teacher, Kim brings a passion for learning and growth to the pickleball court. Since discovering pickleball a year ago, Kim has fallen in love with the sport, enjoying the game itself, the connections it fosters, the accessibility for all players, and the fun of competition.
Kim’s coaching style focuses on supporting players while encouraging them to push their limits, tailored to each player’s pace and learning style, with a strong belief that anyone can learn and enjoy the sport. Using teaching skills in coaching, Kim finds it incredibly rewarding to help players develop their skills, build confidence, stay in shape, and experience personal growth through the sport.

Emran Amiri is an NCCP Level 2 certified pickleball coach at Jem Pickels Place in North York. He coaches players at every level, from people just learning the game to competitive players working on advanced skills.
His coaching focuses on solid fundamentals, court strategy, and helping each player improve at their own pace. He breaks down techniques in ways that are easy to understand and put into practice, making sure everyone feels confident as they develop their game.
Whether someone is picking up a paddle for the first time or refining their third shot drop, Emran brings experience and dedication to help players reach their goals and enjoy the game.

I help players aged 40+ enjoy pickleball for life by teaching smarter play, preventing injuries, and creating fun, social learning environments. I do this to help people stay healthy, avoid injury, and connect socially through pickleball.
Play smarter, play longer – specialized coaching for seniors who want to learn as well as those that love pickleball.
My coaching integrates safe movement, proper mechanics, and warm-up/cool-down routines tailored for aging bodies. I nurture players to feel confident and comfortable while learning in a safe, social environment.

When you first walk in - you are greeted by an extremely friendly staff, and they check you in and give you a tour of the club.. Everything is fresh, new and clean. The pickle ball courts are well lit and players can get video recording of your match by scanning a QR code, which is really innovative, the place was busy and the pickle ball was social and fun… see you in the kitchen at JEM pickle place - it’s a great place for socializing and pickle ball
Lots of fun for the most part. However. Not enough players to play consistently. There were several players who wanted to stay and play together and not rotate. But still in early stages of getting settled as a new location. Staff very nice!
I really like this place.. The staff and coaches are all good and the managers are very responsible towards the players, especially Emran, who is very responsible for managing and organizing the games.. It is a very clean environment.. Emran, Kim, kathleen and James, are all good coaches and pay enough attention to managing the games.
Jem Pickle Place is a fantastic spot to play pickleball! The courts are in great condition, and there are plenty of them available. The ball machine is excellent for practice, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Coach Emran is amazing — he’s knowledgeable, supportive, and always goes out of his way to help us improve. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves pickleball!
I love coming to JEM for indoor pickleball! The courts are nice and have nets to divide the courts so games don’t get interrupted. The only downside is that the ceilings are not very high. Staff are very friendly and the first two times I went by myself they helped me find people to play with. 🥹 Shoutout to coach Emran 👍
